Over the years itim International has collaborated with thousands or organisations. Here are what they had to say about us.

Rheno Umwelttechnik AG, established 50 years ago, is the leading company in the swimmingpool- and drinkingwater disinfection market. Rheno also supplies disinfection systems for elimination of micropollution from waste waters and disinfection systems for various industrial waters. The highest possible quality of the customized solutions  is achieved with an in house know-how, efficient internal processes in addition to qualitative products. As a SME company Rheno is flexible and can adapt to customer needs, still maintaining its professionalism.

In the continuous strive for quality and improvement of customer satisfaction, Rheno has used customer satisfaction surveys and conventional employee surveys since 2003. These surveys have helped aligning the operations, but still some questions have remained unanswered or the results have been ambiguos.

In 2012 we, for the first time, used the Hofstede organizational culture measurement model, by Itim International.  We where able to verify strategically important areas and found new dimensions, which we had not discovered earlier. The crucial difference in this survey, compared to alternative ones is, that the results are combined with explanation for it being so and more importantly suggestions on how to change the situation. In other words validated alternative optional measurements (map), on how to achieve a desired change

In 2015, we measured our organizational culture a second time. This time we wanted to know,  what had happened since 2012 and how the actions, which we had decided on in 2012 had influenced the culture. We were able to determine, that the actions taken had moved us in the right direction and we also found further areas for development.

At first we thought that the Hofstede Model is only applicable for big companies. Assuming that a HR-department, can work with the model analysing many things in detail. But the model can also be used by SME companies with limited resources, who by using this model can be guided and thereby find which measures to focus on and in which secuence these, should  be addressed, in order to secure the best possible “umsetzung” of the strategy.

Seventeen years ago I followed the Itim seminar. It is one of the very few seminars I keep referring to and recommend to others. Every time I set up new working relations and meet people from different cultural backgrounds I recognize what I learned during the seminar.   Understanding the reactions of people within their background makes it much easier to communicate. And I know how to adapt my way of acting for others to be better understood. This hold both for my professional work and in relation to asylum seekers.

Thanks for the continued effort to spread this knowledge.

In my view, what you offer provides a very helpful map to permit us to navigate through the cultures we meet around the world.

Using Itim to understand better the various cultural traits in our multinational management team has helped us to work more efficiently together as a team.

Itim helped me to prepare chairing an important meeting. It really was fascinating to see many of the national characteristics manifesting themselves in Budapest. The course made a big difference to what I was able to achieve and I certainly noticed a number of potential pitfalls that I would otherwise have walked straight into. The important thing was that I could now recognise them and act accordingly.

I still consider your seminar one of the best ones ever I participated in.  You gave excellent insight on how your home and company culture influence your leadership style and how this results in a match between your-self and the company, or a mismatch.  As we were all Europeans we easily connected, and saw the differences, and opportunities for using each other’s strengths.

Looking back on what we did together in the Ardennes, I can see we were running very far ahead in the organization, as diversity and inclusive leadership since then have become very important values in the Volvo Group.

Itim has really helped us in merging our Dutch and Belgian operations by giving us concrete levers on how to effectively use national cultural differences in general. Itim´s organizational culture scan and advise were clear and operational. The concrete insight gives us an immediate priorization of where to focus our energy and gain quick wins in a difficult process. In the future we will conduct follow-up studies and additional integration actions.

During the summer of 2010 Brocacef Holding NV announced a merger between two pharmacy chains, Lloyds and Escura. A crucial merger between two companies involved in the same core business. Being well aware that one of the critical conditions to make a merger a success is the effective management of organizational culture we invited itim to guide us through the process.

With the help of itim the differences in organizational culture among the two parties were made visible and tangible. That allowed us to focus first on the process of integration, while subsequently focusing on the optimalization of the new culture. Until now the cooperation with itim has led to a succesful merger within our company.

Although integration and optimalization of companies and their cultures is a time consuming process that could easily last several years, we experienced the assistance and support from itim as very helpful by speeding up this process considerably.

In Dutch we have a saying: “If you judge, you stop watching”.

The intercultural training of the ITIM international given by a very professional trainer makes you wise and curious. This training is a must to be able to make an unprejudiced judgment in different parts of the world. Not only for the expats but also for everybody who lives in this "small" world.

VIG faces a daunting task in bringing all of its daughter companies together, given the variety of nationalities and cultures represented. Itim's seminar was an important first step in recognizing just how important cultural differences are and how they can drive the outcome of any interaction - for the better, where one is aware of the cultural context, or for the worst, where one ignores it. Best of all, Sarah's seminar built on interactive exercises and practical examples, which helped us relate what we were learning to our daily interactions in and outside of the office

Bob Waisfisz has provided services to Accenture (former Andersen Consulting) for a number of years. He started in the context of Intercultural Management. These workshops and presentations helped significantly to raise awareness about communication challenges in general and across cultural boundaries in particular. He helped our German speaking practices in Austria, Switzerland and Germany to deal with these challenges caused by the intention to create a real global acting firm in order to provide seamless services to our global clients.

In addition, Bob became my personal coach, when I was running a group of 30 partners from all over the world. He helped me building a team from a group of individuals from more than 10 nationalities including Europe, North-America and Asia/Pacific. We had bottom line responsibility for all projects in the transportation and travel services industries, which represented 200 Mio $/Year fee volume. I enjoyed working with Bob very much, he was extremely effective and efficient. He helped me, as an analytical and technical driven person to understand the importance of soft skills and he did this in a very systematic and convincing way.

I can strongly recommend Bob in most change related areas.
